India has numerous fairs and festivals celebrated during the twelve months of the year. We plan to narrate some of our important and popular festivals as they fall in each month. Due to the differences of lunar and solar calendars, the day of the festival may fall between two months’ span of the English calendar in different years. All of the festivals described here are of Hindus.
